Super Swapper/Power Lister Program Ends July 27th

As you've no doubt heard our trial program is coming to end. Here is the email we sent out earlier today:

THANK YOU for making our power listing pilot program a raging success! The fun sadly has to come to an end … All boxes properly built and picked by midnight PST on Tuesday, July 26th will count toward your credit balance. All boxes built after midnight, starting on Wednesday July 27th, will earn you picks and low supply credits (where applicable), back to swapping life as we know it.

On July 27th we'll send you an email outlining the total credits you earned during the pilot - the number of boxes you built, and the total $$ coming your way. You only have a few days left... so list list list!

If you have questions we're happy to answer them here. Thanks!

Thank you ThredUp for such an awesome program!!!! I have so enjoyed being a part of it and hope that you will be doing it again some time soon :-) This has been one the best things you have done and with some tweaking i believe it will benefit your company and thredders greatly. What happens to boxes that go unrated? I have 5 that have been delivered but only one has been rated..

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I have loved this program (and so has my family). It has been so exciting to build boxes, watch them get picked and watch the balance grow. As a stay at home mom I greatly appreciate the opportunity to earn some extra income for my family and still be home with my kiddos. I really hope that you do this again soon! I would love to be a part of it!

Question: If my boxes don't get picked by July 26, I only get swap credits for them or do I get cash credit in my account? And, yes what about the ones that are not rated by then?

I had to wait two weeks for my empty boxes to arrive before I could build my boxes, which I just posted yesterday. I had previously quit TU because I wasn't happy with the quality or number of clothes I was getting and hated the "gamble" of getting a bad box. I may just delete my unpicked boxes after the 26th.

i'm glad you're nixing it, but i want to ask: i don't want money. i want the swap credits. can we choose? i know a lot of people were able to use their ST credits to pick, and my ST boxes haven't been reviewed yet. i want to use the credits to pick, and it seems like it would be pretty unfair to make us take a check. besides, its too messy on my taxes.

As long as boxes are listed by the end of the program, they will qualify for Super Thredders. You obviously will not get the credit until the box is picked, but the boxes you list would be grandfathered into the program. We will likely have an option for folks to receive credit instead of cash, but we have not worked out the finer details of that.

Listed and picked. You can't list a bunch of boxes at the midnight hour and get credit as ST boxes down the line. They would just qualify for low-supply credits. Sorry for the confusion.

For future reference, please work out all these details and let people know BEFORE they take part in promos like this and spend lots of time putting boxes together. I thought this was going to be a great opportunity for me, but is turning out to be a disappointing waste of time.

<tr><td>I'm with Amanda...I mean the thredup idea is a good program, but all this stuff - the new mom thing, the overflow section, superthredders...it seems like you're flying by the seat of your pants, and you don't want to keep your customers on their toes. People like predictability, and they want what is presented to be delivered.

Where do I begin with my questions? First, if the box is picked & shipped BEFORE the cut off, it gets grandfathered in & I will receive a check for it right? Second, why can't the ones that are already listed like from the begining be grandfathered in? I understand the whole building them at the last second and getting credit thing but the ones that have been sitting I think should be eligible. What happens to the boxes that have not been delivered and/or reviewed by the time you send the detailed email out stating what we've done? Are you going to include those then or later? Are you going to do this again with better details?

Just wondering..My 7 year old daughter started a program for kids going into foster care. We pack bags and they are distributed thru our local Childrens and Youth Services. We put a change of clothes, pj's, shoes, and new underwear and socks. As well as a small stuffed animal, a small toy, or a small book. Depending upon age. As well as a card, letting them know, someone cares. Would anyone be interested in sending boxes to be used for this program?

I was so bummed that the program ended so quickly :( I had hoped to get more boxes listed, but time got away from me! I understand the reasoning for not keeping it though....I received an email when Super Swappers ended, in which it said I would receive a follow-up email about payments, credits, etc, but I never did. I was just curious how I would find out this information. Thanks!
